Update: Vulnerability Checker Extension

Hello, I would like to suggest an update for the vulnerability checker extension.

For us, the vulnerability checker is the main feature to use MainWP. Zentralizing the overall updates is a good start, but in order to avoid the risk of breaking things, we would like to reduce the very frequent updates to the vulnerable parts of WordPress.

Using WPScan, this extension allows the user to see, what themes and plugins have issues that need to be fixed very soon.

The problem is, that there is no way to easily update the vulnerable plugins and themes now. The user needs to manually check all the sites, what plugins and themes cause issues and then go to the update sections and update those parts manually.

Since this is very time consuming, I would like to suggest an update for that extension, that allows the user to update vulnerable parts much easier. All informations and the update functionality is already present in MainWP. It just need to be links together.

So besides having a “Update all” (or “Update all plugins”) button, I would like to see a “Update all vulnerabilities” button (or “Update all vulnerable plugins”). MainWP then just need to loop the all the found issues and update the according plugins on all sites, that have this issue listed.

Another or additional option would be to extend the installed plugin list within MainWP, adding a column, that shows vulnerabilities. From that view the user could trigger the update as well.

The main goal is to make it as easy as possible to frequently update only vulnerabilities of a lot of pages. Currently, this is sadly not possible in a effient way.

Additionally, there could be more infos added to the extension as well, like:

• "There are 15 vulnerable plugins on 5 of 20 sites."

• "Vulnerable Plugins accross all sites are: X, Y, Z"

• "Click here to update ALL vulnerable Plugins an all sites"

• "Click here to update plugin X on all sites"
