Distribute Favorites from a url address

Would it be possible to have the favorites folder hosted as a seperate website url instead of locally on the Dashboard server. It would even help my organisation if each Group could have a different url address for the favorites folder locations to seperate specific plugins/themes

Favorites extension version introduced a big change in the way favorite items are added to the system. Favorites are not added via URL and that URL can be direct wp.org repository URL or any other publicly accessible URL.
