Hi MainWP Team,
I’m using MainWP to manage multiple WordPress sites, and I’ve encountered a limitation regarding plugin update controls. What I need is a way to exclude certain websites from automatic plugin updates, while still being able to manually update those plugins via the MainWP dashboard.
Currently, it seems this is not possible. When I either:
- Enable “Exclude website”, or
- Activate “Ignore plugin updates” on a per-site basis, …all updates for that site are completely hidden, making it impossible to manage plugin updates manually via MainWP.
These options feel overly restrictive. In comparison, tools like ManageWP allow per-site configuration of which plugins should receive automatic updates, without losing visibility or manual control in the dashboard.
Goal:
Have certain sites that receive autoupdates of trusted plugins (currently, and that’s fine)
Have certain sites where I want to manually update plugins (even the trusted ones), but I need to see in MainWP when there is an update available.
