Assign Existing Tag via Plugin/Theme Updates

I recently had a conversation with support. I wanted to be able to tag all the sites which had a specific them or plugin. This can be done…BUT…. it is only possible to create a new tag and there is no way to merge tags.

Here is the use case
I have a few hundred sites in my dashboard - I want to tag all the sites running WP Bakery as I’m moving to Elementor and need to track which ones I still need to do

Step 1) Go to Manage Plugins & Search - List by Site
Step 2) Click the tag icon on the right - Create Tag for Selected Sites

Issue - I already have a tag and have some sites tagged - so I’d now have a new / duplicate tag and I’d have to go untag the site with the original tag - there are just alot of extra steps.

I’d like the ability to add the sites to an existing tag OR create a new one if needed.
