Team users have their own dedicated login for child sites
You guys are getting close by having the Team extension, where roles can be created and assigned to the MainWP dashboard users, but it really needs the ability to tie users from child websites to a user on MWP dashboard. So, for example, John-Smith is created as a user on the MWP dashboard. Then, on a child site, a user can be created as well called John-Smith. We should have the ability to assign the MWP user to always login as the child site user John-Smith. That way, all of the changes made on the site aren’t happening under the primary connection user on the child site. Without this feature, changes on websites can’t be tracked by WHO actually made them when we have a team. ManageWP does this quite well and I suggest you guys look into it. We would actually consider moving over all 200+ of our websites to MainWP if this feature was added, but without it, we have no way to audit which employee made changes on a site, and that is a must-have (for us and for many agencies).

Still needed, have been evaluating MainWP and losing per-user tracking is likely a dealbreaker. This is the sole missing feature keeping me from confidently adopting MainWP.

This is a must-have feature for any agency managing multiple sites with a team. Without dedicated logins for child sites, it's impossible to track who made what changes — which is a serious issue for accountability and auditing. We strongly support this request and hope to see it implemented soon.

One thing to add is that the account you set for each team member should allow for any user role on the child websites. Manage WP does this very well, they should adopt their solution. For each team member you have the option to set which wordpress user account they login as for the child websites.
So for example, I can set TeamMember1 to login as team1@email.com on all the child websites. I just need to make sure this user account exists on all the child websites they have access to. This gives me the control to set which user role they have because I can make that wordpress user an editor on all the child websites.
The benefits:
Can easily see which account made changes on the child websites.
Can control what role team members have when logging in to the child websites.

I think this essential for site management. We emphasize all the time that our clients can use the “Activity Log” plugin to monitor activity to the site, but with us - we have a team of three with access to the sites. Unfortunately, it is difficult to back track anything in this case because we are all recorded as the same user, so managing others is challenging. Sorta seems odd that we can’t do what we preach to our clients to do. For me, it’s just an added layer we can use to monitor security, so I would love to see this upgraded. :)

Couldn’t agree more with this feature. It would give MainWP a leg up compared to other site monitor platforms, expanding its reach to web teams. Not to mention, how this makes the WP Activity Log more granular. I supervise a team of two who monitors 50+ editors across departments. Identifying edits and who made them is most beneficial.

I agree, this one feature is holding me back from migrating all my websites over. I am keeping an eye on this, hopefully they add it to the pipeline!

100% agree. We look after a number of sites for multiple users. We also enable logs on all sites to identify the cause of issues and the inability to have users log in with their own user name really limits the effectiveness of this when the user is at fault. This has been a feature in ManageWP for years and is the only reason I haven’t moved all of my sites over to my MainWP dashboard. As fantastic as MainWP is, the lack of this feature is making me seriously consider whether to renew or not for a 3rd year.
